ABOUT ME
Welcome! My name is Max, I am a passionate photographer specialised in dramatic landscapes. I am a 37 years old Dutchie based in Amsterdam but often abroad doing what I love the most. It's my absolute passing to capture the amazing beauty of our planet. I have an educational background in the field of sustainability and love to be creative to the fullest extend. I hope to increase the connection of people with nature and create more awareness. I am guiding photography enthusiasts on beautiful locations around the world, teaching them the skills they need to deliver great landscape pictures themselves. I speak fluent Dutch and English.
My gear consists of a mirrorless camera (a Nikon Z7II) with several lenses with focal lengths ranging between 10 and 600mm. For most landscape shots I use one of my wide angle lenses. My backpack is from Gomatic and I am very satisfied with its design and durability. It's super robust, it has tons of storage capabilities and it is water resistant. It's also designed with anti-theft features and lots of comfort. I also use several filters, especially for my long exposure shots. I work with the brand Haida Filters, they have very convenient magnetic filters that are super light and easy to use. The quality of the glass is sublime.
Over the years I have won several awards and prices for my photography. Among them are several top 100 notations in the ILPOTY awards (International Landscape Photographer Of The Year). Many photos have won Silver and Bronze Awards at the EPSON Pano Awards over the years. I have also won the Drone Photo of the Year Award and several other awards that resulted in publications online and in magazines. My work has also been shared by well-known channels like BBC Earth and Lonely Planet.
